Make A Difference - VOLUNTEER!

Any members of the public interested in volunteering are being invited to the Galway City Volunteer Recruitment Fair in the Galway Bay Hotel on Sunday 28th January between 2pm and 5pm.  There will be over 40 charities and community organisations from across the city at the Fair, which is being organised by Volunteer Galway.  Last year over 800 people attended the event to speak to organisations about the work that they do and the volunteer roles that they are trying to fill.

This year’s Volunteer Fair is being supported by St. Anthony’s and Claddagh Credit Union, Galway Bay FM and the Galway Bay Hotel.

Lessons for Life – An Insight into the experience of Volunteering with Blue Teapot Performing Arts School

Blue Teapot Performing Arts School was founded in 2010 and offers a three year programme, delivering training in performing modules leading to certification in QQI Levels 2 & 3 for people with intellectual disabilities. The programme runs four days a week and offers a diverse and enriching range of modules to students.  This course is no mean feat and students are challenged with an intense work load across the three years.
