The Burren Pine Project aims to restore the Burren Pine tree – a nearly ‘lost’ species to Ireland’s natural flora through creation of native pine dominated mini-woodlands. These woodlands will act as nurseries for the native pine trees, the seeds from which will be a valuable resource for the future expansion of the species in Ireland, reducing its vulnerability to extinction. By sponsoring a tree in this restoration project you get a certificate, yearly photographs, and an invitation to annual visit to a Burren pine project site.
